Painting...

Good Monday morning, everyone! I hope a wonderful weekend was had by all! We had a great weekend! Friday night, we were lucky enough to have a night at home with nothing to do....ahhh, how nice! We ate and watched tv....it couldn't have been better. :) Then Saturday, we won ALL three of our baseball games! Maybe that's why I am in an unusually good mood for a Monday morning.

Anyway, I have some more pictures to share! While Seth was gone, my parents also helped me paint our master bedroom. Well....Mom helped with the painting. Dad helped move furniture and "supervised." And by supervise I mean watch basketball from the comfort of the couch. :)

I had been meaning to paint and put up new curtains for a few months, so this was the perfect opportunity. I had to take advantage of my helpers while they were around! Here are some pics of the finished product.

We also painted our bathroom while we were at it. Back before our current bathroom renovations got started, we had plans for this one as well. However, due to the craziness that the guys have gone through for our first bathroom, I'm pretty sure this one will get left behind. We're not too crazy about the tile all over the place, but the blue makes it look a little better. This isn't the best picture, but you get the idea. :)

The work still continues of the current renovations. I will try to get you an update on that soon!

The Red, White and Blue

Since Seth has been gone the past week or so for work, my parents came down to help me take care of some stuff around the house. Seth has been staying so busy with work and baseball that I thought it would be a nice surprise for him to come home and all of this stuff was done. So, one of our projects was to put up our flag. Dad put his handyman skills to work and mounted the flag for us. It turned out great! Thanks, Dad!
Please ignore the untrimmed hedges. That will be a project for another day! :)

Our Boys...From Little to Big

I realized last night how long it had been since I had a post...I have been slacking!! So, I'm gonna make up for it...I'll probably have three or four this week! :)
A few weekends ago, we had our first beautiful spring weather for baseball. It was wonderful! Up until then, we had to drag along all our winter clothing and blankets and scarves and anything else that MIGHT keep us warm. Hopefully all of that is behind us for this season! On this particular Saturday, we had a triple header with two other teams so we were at the field ALL day. But it was wonderful! Not only did Caleb hit a home run, but Eli also got to come watch! He seemed to love watching all the action...and getting to play in the gravel. :) Here are a few pictures from the day....

Eli, Taking in all the Excitement

He kept wanting the throw his ball through the fence for the players to use.

My turn to entertain Eli...we played with the camera. That seemed to keep him intrigued for maybe five minutes. Oh the attention span of a one year old. :)

Seth was proud for capturing this cute little moment.

Playing with Uncle Seth...in the gravel! Uncle Seth teaches him many things that his momma may want to beat Seth for later. :)

Winter Wonderland

Another great thing about being at my parents' this past weekend was the SNOW. Yes, that's right....it actually snowed! About 5 o'clock Saturday evening we took my g-ma out to dinner and it was just barely raining. When we came out of the restaurant about an hour later, it was pouring down snow! By the time we got home, we had about 2 inches of snow on the ground!

It was absolutely beautiful! As we sat there enjoying watching the snow fall, we hear someone knock on the back door. Would you believe that my brother and his wife drove their teryx about 20 miles to my parents' house?! They were just out playing in the snow and thought they'd come visit. Haha...they're crazy!!

Well, the next morning we woke up to about 8 inches of snow at my parents'. Although some people in the area got 10-20 inches! Adam measured about 18 inches on their cars.

Now that I have been able to enjoy one beautiful snow for the winter season, I'm officially ready for SPRING to be here!! :)

A Day with Luke

Since Seth was gone the past week for work (and will be gone ANOTHER week), I took off work Friday and went to my parents house for a long weekend. I picked a great weekend to go, because my mom was keeping Luke for the day!! We had a great time, but MAN that kid will wear you out! He is one of the most talkative, social babies I've ever seen! He LOVES for someone to be talking to him or entertaining him all the time. His momma said we wore him out and he slept all night...but I think it was the other way around! :) Here are a few pictures.

I think, by this time, he was tired of the camera. :)

The Boys of Summer are Back!

Yes, that's right....baseball season is here again! For those of you who don't know, Seth helps coach the Madison County High School baseball team, along with another guy that he played at UAH with. Seth's youngest brother, Caleb, plays on the team so that keeps us hopping all spring! To celebrate the beginning of the season, I thought I would share of few pics of the hubby from his UAH days.

HOMER! :)

They're here!

Yes, that's right....our bathroom cabinets are finally in! And they look awesome! We are very happy with how they turned out. Take a look....

This is all I could squeeze into the picture.
There will be more to come...the in-laws are working on our tile today!
